Nesis II is a modern Glass Cockpit, which is operated by 8 pushbuttons <strong>and</strong> 2 rotating knobs. The knobs may be also pushed in foradditional functions. All buttons are labeled in 2 rows. A quick push on abutton will open a window related to the subject listed on the upper rowof the button. Pushing the button for 3 seconds will open a windowrelated to the lower label.Data downloads <strong>and</strong> updates uploads can be excuted via USB-Stick onthe frame of the unit. A Mini-USB is also available on the unit’s frame.5 main displays are available in NESIS II. The warning window also displays the serial No. of the software at thebottom of the window.Pushing the rotating knob 2 in is the confirmation (OK) <strong>and</strong> this wouldenable the unit to continue the start process.The second window allows the user to select a pilot name from a listwhich can be set in the setting menu. Confirming the name of theselected pilot with the rotating knob 2 (push in) will make the curserdrop down into the box for setting QNH.Rotating the rotating knob 2 will change the QNH setting <strong>and</strong> pushing itin will confirm the setting <strong>and</strong> then the main display 1 is on:<strong>Flight</strong> <strong>and</strong> operation manual G 4-2 <strong>Rev</strong>ision <strong>3.0</strong> – 09.04.2013 79
