Rotor steeringThe rotor head is controlled by the control stick infront of the pilot’s seat. The stick moves controlrods under the seats. These are linked by a fork to2 vertical rods which connects to the rotor head.The limitations for pitch <strong>and</strong> roll are in the rotorhead.A change of position of the control stick directlyaffects the gyrocopter’s attitude in the air.Vigorous movement of the stick is strictlyprohibited. The proper way to h<strong>and</strong>le the controlstick is learned during the corresponding course ina flight training school.Furthermore the PTT <strong>and</strong> trim-buttons are locatedon the stick.A co-pilot control stick is optional <strong>and</strong> is directlyattached to the rods under the seats in the cabin.TrimmingElectrical operated rack <strong>and</strong> pinion triming deviceis installed under the rear seat. It is connected tothe control rods under the seat through spring coil.Actuating the trim button on the control stick trimsthe gyrocopter for fast (to the front) or slow flight(to the back).Optional trim button for the co-pilot may also beinstalled.Rotor brakeThe rotor is slowed down <strong>and</strong> stopped by a brake, which is mounted inthe rotor head. With the control stick pushed all the way forward, thebrake pad is pressed on the rotating gear disk in the rotor head <strong>and</strong>slows the rotor. It is absolutely prohibited to activate the rotor brakeduring flight.
