9.4 Oil systemChecking the oil is very important:1. Both ignition circuits turned off2. Remove the cap of the oil container3. Turn the engine at the propeller in rotation tirection aproximately8-10 revolutions (until flushing sound can be heard)4. The oil level is measured while the gyrocopter is level <strong>and</strong>should not be lower than the middle of the flat area of the dipstick.It should not be higher than the top of the flat area.1 Pressure regulator 2 Oil pressure sensor3 Oil pump 4 Oil container5 Oil radiator 6 Oil filter7 Vent hose 8 Oil temperature sensorWarning: both ignition circuits must be turned off before the engineis turned by h<strong>and</strong> to check the oil level. 9.5 Cooling systemTo check the level of the engine coolant it is important to not only checkthe reservoir, but also every now <strong>and</strong> then to check the level of theexpansion container (4). The radiator (2) must be checked for cleansurfaces <strong>and</strong> no leaks.Attention: The cap (3) of the expansion/reservoir container (1) mayonly be opened when the engine is cold! Danger of scolding!9.6 Ignition systemThe two independentmagnetos on the generatorstator (1) each supply one ofthe 2 ignition circuits. Theenergy is saved incondensers in the electricalmodule (2). At the time ofignition, 2 of the 4transducers (3) initiate thedischarge of the condensersvia the main coil of the dualignition transformers (4).
