6.3 Steering systemsRudder steeringThe rudder c<strong>on</strong>trols are c<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong>al pedals <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> steel wires. A set ofpedals (adjustable for more comfort) in the nose of the cabin arec<strong>on</strong>nected to the nose wheel c<strong>on</strong>trol via rods. The steel wires c<strong>on</strong>trollingthe rudder areattached to the nosewheel c<strong>on</strong>trols <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>lead back to therudder inside theframe.Opti<strong>on</strong>ally a sec<strong>on</strong>dset of pedals may beinstalled for the copilotwhich is alsoc<strong>on</strong>nected to the setof pedals in the fr<strong>on</strong>tvia rods. This way therudder can bec<strong>on</strong>trolled from bothseats.Throttle <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> wheel brake c<strong>on</strong>trol unitThe throttle <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the choke are <strong>on</strong> the left side of the pilot’s seat. Thethrottle lever is c<strong>on</strong>nected to thecarburetors via cable c<strong>on</strong>trols, wherebythe back positi<strong>on</strong> is idle <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> theforward positi<strong>on</strong> is full power.An engine cold start requires chokec<strong>on</strong>trol. For this purpose the chokelever must be pulled all the way back(towards the throttle) <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the throttle issat to idle.
