7 GLASS COCKPIT7.1 IntroductionThe Mini-Glascockpit EMSIS is specially designed for the Model Libertyund the Glascockpit NESIS II is specially designed for the ModelPrincess by Kanardia. These units are directly connected to the boardelectrical circuit through the Nav-switch.Note: The Glass Cockpit must be switched on (NAV-Switch) Rightafter the engine starts <strong>and</strong> must be switched off right before theengine is shut down. This is important to protect these units fromdamage due to high current.They are connected to the Pitot-tube at the nose of the gyrocopterthrough a hose. They are also connected to the static pressure port atthe left side of the cabin through a hose. (See chapter 6.11).EMSISNESIS IIWarning: This manual includes only a brief description of EMSIS<strong>and</strong> NESIS. 7.2 DescriptionEMSISThe st<strong>and</strong>ard equipment of the Model Liberty includes one Mini GlassCockpit (EMSIS), which includes the following Instruments: air speedindicator, altimeter, vertical speed indicator, G-Meter (acceleration),CHT (2x), oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel gauge, fuel pressure, hourmeter <strong>and</strong> other useful functions.Engine RPM <strong>and</strong> Rotor RPM are displayed in a separate instrument.A second EMSIS is optionally available for GPS navigation in Liberty.NESIS IIThe st<strong>and</strong>ard equipment of the Model Princess includes one GlassCockpit, which includes the following instruments <strong>and</strong> functions: airspeed indicator, altimeter, vertical speed indicator, G-Meter(acceleration), GPS, moving map, electronic compass, engine RPM,CHT (2x), oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel gauge, fuel pressure, fuelcomputer, rotor RPM, hour meter, OAT, flight planner, data recorder<strong>and</strong> much more.An optional traffic awareness system (ADS-B <strong>and</strong> FLARM) may becoupled to NESIS <strong>and</strong> displays the position of other aircrafts on themoving map.NESIS II funktioniert auch im Model Princess als Bildschirm für eineoptionale Bordkamera.<strong>Flight</strong> <strong>and</strong> operation manual G 4-2 <strong>Rev</strong>ision <strong>3.0</strong> – 09.04.2013 75
