Chapter 2 The Control ProgramChapter 2 The Control Program2.1 Automatically starts upon system boot upOnly one instance of SmartView PlusServer's control program can be runningat a time. The computer with the runningcontrol program will become a SmartViewPlus Server. After installation, theprogram can be found in the windowsstart menu at [Start] > [Programs] >[SmartView Plus] > [Control]. The Controlprogram will hide itself automatically afterstart up and be displayed as an icon in thesystem tray.2.2 Shutting Down the Control ProgramFind the Control Program icon in thesystem tray, and double-click it.The Control Program window will appear.Click the [X] button in the upper rightcorner.You will be asked with a dialog "Are yousure you to exit the system?", Click "YES"to exit the program.2.3 Start the Control program manuallyNavigate to [Start] > [Program] > [SVP] > [SVP Control]. This will start the control program and itsicon will appear in the system tray.- 8 -
Chapter 3 The Admin ProgramChapter 3 The Admin ProgramMultiple instances of the SmartView Plus Server Admin program can be run on a PC at the sametime.3.1 System loginThe system requires users to enter an ID and Password before being able to access the system.(To register new user IDs and passwords, please refer to the "Users and Groups" section.)Check the [Connect Camera By Server] if youwish to access video from camera through SVPserver. Default is to access the video fromcamera directly.If you are logging in through the Internet, check'Via Internet'.Note: If you failed to provide a valid user name or password consecutively for three times, thelogin process will end automatically.If you try to login into SmartView Plus using Admin, the system will show a warning dialog boxsaying 'The system does not support non-SVP stations'.3.2 The Admin Program InterfaceAfter you have logged in successfully, the Admin program window will appear as shown below:A.
