Onone side Almira and Raymondo, on the other side, Ediliaand Bellante, watching the festivities (representing threecontinents and also Tabarco, who represents Folly).Bodyguards and the rest of the court are arranged on thelower level.Fernando, in a Roman outfit representing Europe, ridesin a golden coach with horses. He bears crown, scepter,imperial orb and princely hats in his lap. In front of himis a choir of oboists along with the retinue of the nationsbelonging to this continent.Aria. Fernando.Bow down, ye globe of the world,And honor my splendor.Quite rightly shall the victor’s wreathAdorn my brow.(Dance of the Europeans.)Anderer Auftritt.Osman und die Vorigen.Osman stellet in einer Mohrentracht Africa vor, und wirdunter einen schönen Baldachin von zwölff Mohren getragen.Vor ihm her gehet ein Chor Trompeten und Paucken, undfolgen die Vornehmsten der Africanischen Völcker.Aria. Vorher gehet ein Chor Cimbaln,Trommeln und Quer=Pfeiffen, sammt dem Gefolge derNationen.Scene Three.Consalvo and the aforementioned.Consalvo, wearing an Oriental costume and drawn bylions, represents Asia.
