Dawat-e-Islami’s Majlis-e-Tarājim, a department responsible forreproducing the books and booklets of Amīr-e-Aĥl-e-Sunnat founder of Dawat-e-Islami Shaykhال ْ عَالِيَهْ‏ ‘Allāmaĥ Maulānā Abu Bilal Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri Razaviinto various دَامَتْ‏ بَرَ‏ كَاتُهُمُ‏languages of the world, is pleased to present the book ‘Ghībat kī Tabāĥ Kāriyān’ in English underthe title of ‘Backbiting – A Cancer in our Society.’Although any translation is inevitably a form of interpretation, we have tried our level best toconvey the thought of the author in its true sense. To facilitate the pronunciation of Arabicletters, a transliteration chart has been added. Terms of Islamic Jurisprudence have not beentranslated as a caution because in most cases, an English word cannot be a fully juristicsubstitute. However, a glossary has been given at the end of the book, elaborating the Islamicterms. Further, the index and the bibliography have also been added.
