230 Backbiting – A Cancer in our SocietyForgiveness leads to Paradise without accountabilityForgiveness is a very lucrative virtuous act. Hence, the Noble Prophet صَ‏ َّ! االلهُ‏ تَعَالىٰ‏ ‏َلَيْهِ‏ وَاٰلِهٖ‏ وَسَلَّم hasstated: It will be announced on the Day of Judgment, ‘The one whose retribution ofrewards depends on the mercy of Allah ‏;عَزَّوَجَلَّ‏ should rise and enter Paradise.’ It will beasked, ‘For whom is this retribution of rewards?’ The herald will respond, ‘For thosewho were forgiving.’ Thus, thousands of people will rise and enter Paradise without anyaccountability.
