َForty Parables 303Great are the virtues of travelling in Madanī Qāfilaĥ with good intentions! An Islamicbrother narrated: My sister-in-law was pregnant. We found out, through an ultrasound,that she would have a girl. They had a desire to have a boy and thus my brother made anintention, ‘If a baby boy were born, then I would travel with Madanī Qāfilaĥ for 3 days.’اَل ْ حَمْدُ‏ لِلهborn. , a baby boy was عَزَّوَجَلَّ‏Nayk awlād kī, dād faryād kīKhāṭir āo chalayn, Qāfilay mayn chaloQalb bĥī shād ĥo, gĥar bĥī ābād ĥoPāo gey rāḥatayn, Qāfilay mayn chaloFor the cries for help and for righteous offspringCome let us all go, let us go in QāfilaĥYour home will prosper and heart like fresh flowers in springComfort you will attain, let us go in QāfilaĥY َ ُa ٰ َ< ٰ Mََُ ا‎J K َ Lۡ2ِbَ َ اZ‏ۡ‏]^ ۡ ا < َLMore intentions, more ŠawābDear Islamic brothers! عَزَّوَجَلَّ‏ , a righteous intention to travel in the Madanī Qāfilaĥcoupled with the blessings of the Madanī Qāfilaĥ itself and سُبْحنَ‏ الله عَزَّوَجَلَّ‏ ٰ a baby boy comesinto your hands! Keep in mind, that the more righteous intentions one has, the moreŠawāb he will attain. We shouldn’t forget, however, that the attainment of reward in theHereafter is essential with the intention for the fulfilment of a permissible objective. Forexample: If the intention to travel in the Madanī Qāfilaĥ was just to be blessed with ababy boy then one will not attain the reward of travelling in the Madanī Qāfilaĥ. If theintention was made for the attainment of Šawāb, then even if the desire to have a babyboy is not fulfilled, one will still reap the Šawāb. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ‏ has stated in Quran Part 13of Sūraĥ Yūsuf, Verse 56:و لإمَاشَآءَ‏ الله﴾٥٦﴿ ن ض‏ ۡ يd جۡ‏ ر ‏ل ۡ م ۡ ح س‏ ن‏ ۡ And We waste not the reward of the righteous.[Kanz-ul-Īmān (Translation of Quran)] (Part 13, Sūraĥ Yūsuf, Verse 56)لآ
