� Places where participants got Internet before WLANs<br />
were provided on <strong>campus</strong>:<br />
Surfing the Internet, shopping on Internet, research, entertainment,<br />
chatting, Internet games, discussion, E-learning, downloading, checking<br />
emails and doing assignments were 11 activities that participants usually<br />
did via WLANs. Almost 60% <strong>of</strong> participants liked to get on the Internet at<br />
one specific place and did not like to change. <strong>On</strong> the other hand, 40% <strong>of</strong><br />
participants had two places as a minimum and four places as a maximum.<br />
Based on the survey results and as can be seen in the figure below, home<br />
(78% <strong>of</strong> responses) was the first place that students went to for those<br />
activities, before the <strong>campus</strong> provided WLANs. It was followed by<br />
computer lab, library and Internet Café. <strong>On</strong>ly one participant mentioned<br />
place <strong>of</strong> work place and another one mentioned in class.<br />
