restriction. Over 83% <strong>of</strong> those 36 participants agreed that whether the user<br />
had a student account was the only restriction for connecting to <strong>campus</strong><br />
WLANs. Of the total 64 surveys, 30 participants agreed on having a<br />
student account. <strong>On</strong>ly four participants considered undertaking a course<br />
was the restriction. Time and place had close responses with 13 and 19.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re were 22 participants who had no idea about the connection speed <strong>of</strong><br />
WLANs. Twelve participants wrote down a specific speed, such as 56Kbps<br />
(slow), 500Kbps, 48Mbps and 54Mbps (fast). <strong>The</strong> remaining 29 participants<br />
just wrote their feelings about using WLANs on <strong>campus</strong>, such as very slow,<br />
OK and/or fast. <strong>On</strong>e participant, who wrote the lowest speed <strong>of</strong> 6.5Kbps,<br />
thought the connection speed <strong>of</strong> WLANs was very slow. Fifteen<br />
participants felt the connection speed was very slow or just slow. Eight<br />
participants were satisfied with the connection speed and seven<br />
participants thought it was fast.
