<strong>Maintenance</strong> (Continued)Drain the pumpRemove the coupling• Induction heater• Leveling blocks <strong>and</strong> shims• Lifting sling• Micrometer• Rubber mallet• Screwdriver• Snap-ring pliers• Torque wrench with sockets• WrenchesCAUTION:• Allow all system <strong>and</strong> pump components to cool before you h<strong>and</strong>le them to prevent physical injury.• If your pump is a Model NM3171, NM3196, 3198, 3298, 3700, V3298, SP3298, 4150, 4550, 3107 or3296 EZMAG, there is a possible risk of static electric discharge from plastic parts that are notproperly grounded. If the pumped fluid is non-conductive, drain <strong>and</strong> flush the pump with aconductive fluid under conditions that will not allow for a spark to be released to the atmosphere.1. Close the isolation valves on the suction <strong>and</strong> discharge sides of the pump.You must drain the system if no valves are installed.2. Open the drain valve.Do not proceed until liquid stops coming out of the drain valve. If liquid continues to flow from thedrain valve, the isolation valves are not sealing properly <strong>and</strong> you must repair them before you proceed.3. Leave the drain valve open <strong>and</strong> remove the drain plug located on the bottom of the pump housing.Do not reinstall the plug or close the drain valve until the reassembly is complete.4. Drain the liquid from the piping <strong>and</strong> flush the pump if it is necessary.5. Disconnect all auxiliary piping <strong>and</strong> tubing.6. Remove the coupling guard.1. Disconnect the coupling.2. Remove the C-face adapter.3.
