All committees were invited to input into the development <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>University</strong> Strategic Plan 2012-16 through Committee<br />

Discussion and reporting to GASP<br />

The <strong>University</strong>’s internal subject review framework (Teaching<br />

Programme Review and Postgraduate Programme Review) has<br />

been developed to support greater engagement by students in<br />

the preparations <strong>for</strong> the reviews and in implementation <strong>of</strong> review<br />

recommendations.<br />

The <strong>University</strong>’s framework <strong>for</strong> internal subject review was<br />

presented at a workshop at the 6 th European Quality Assurance<br />

Forum in Antwerp.<br />

The Committee noted the development <strong>of</strong> the KIS project with a<br />

view to the impact on the curriculum and related programme<br />

governance documentation.<br />

The Committee had oversight <strong>of</strong> the final phase <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Edinburgh</strong><br />

College <strong>of</strong> Art merger and the transition <strong>of</strong> the regulatory and<br />

governance framework.<br />

The Committee is discussing the recommendations <strong>of</strong> the task<br />

group and reviewing implementation options<br />

The Postgraduate Research Assessment Regulations Task<br />

Group reviewed and restructured the PGR assessment<br />

regulations to simplify and standardise the university’s<br />

assessment procedures and regulations, using common<br />
