TUPE Transfer <strong>of</strong> the Scottish Collaboration <strong>for</strong> Public Health Research (SCPHRP) Unit from<br />
the MRC to the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Edinburgh</strong>.<br />
Brief description <strong>of</strong> the paper, including statement <strong>of</strong> relevance to the <strong>University</strong>’s strategic plans and<br />
priorities where relevant<br />
It is proposed to transfer the small MRC Scottish Collaboration <strong>for</strong> Public Health Research<br />
(SCPHRP) Unit which is currently situated within the Human Genetics Building and relies on<br />
administrative support from the MRC Scottish Regional Support Team from the MRC to the<br />
<strong>University</strong>. This proposal only involves the transfer <strong>of</strong> 6 members <strong>of</strong> staff as the unit has no assets.<br />
Action requested<br />
Court is asked to approve the transfer <strong>of</strong> SCPHRP from MRC to the <strong>University</strong> and to authorise the<br />
<strong>University</strong> Secretary and the Director <strong>of</strong> Corporate Services to finalise the necessary legal<br />
arrangements to allow this transfer to be implemented with effect from 1 August 2012.<br />
