<strong>Judicial</strong> <strong>System</strong> in Saudi Arabia<br />

employing more judges to guarantee the quality of the<br />

judicial service provided in a manner commensurate<br />

with practical needs and development requirements.<br />

More than 700 judges were appointed so the total<br />

number of judges has been increased to one thousand<br />

seven hundred fifty five (1755) judges with a growth<br />

percentage of 54,62% within the past four years.<br />

2. Increase the Number of Public Notaries: The<br />

Ministry of Justice has increased the jobs to fill<br />

shortage believing in the importance of attestation<br />

work. Four hundred six (406) notaries were appointed<br />

during the past four years satisfying the increased<br />

need because of the growing number of transactions<br />

and expansion of cities. In addition, two hundred<br />

forty eight (248) notaries were promoted increasing<br />

the number of notaries to seven hundred seventy five<br />

(775) with a growth percentage of 90,88%.<br />

3. Increase the Number of Support Staff: The<br />

Ministry of Justice has appointed nine thousand five<br />

hundred forty two (9542) thus increasing the number<br />

of the total support staff to twenty five thousand<br />

five hundred ninety nine (25599) with a growth<br />

percentage of 59,42%. Two thousand seven hundred<br />

sixty seven administrative jobs (grade 2 up to grade<br />

9) have been created including eight hundred ten<br />

(810) jobs for the Ministry of Justice Agency for<br />

Attachment and Enforcement Affairs. King Abdulla<br />

Project for Reforming the Judiciary has demanded<br />
