Women under Saudi Legal System

Islam honors women, values them highly and gives them
full rights. Islam does not differentiate between men and
women; however such equality is not absolute. Islam equals
between men and women where equality is appropriate, and
differentiates between them where there are reasons for such
differentiation. One aspect of equality between men and
women is that both are human beings. In this respect, Allah
Almighty says, “O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who
created you from a single person (Adam), He created his wife
[Hawaa] [Eve], and from them both He created many men
