● Whether to frame slides Click this option below the Print Layout and Handouts<br />

galleries to put a frame around the slides on the printed page.<br />

● Whether to scale slides If you haven’t set the size of the slides to match the size of<br />

the paper in the printer, click this option to have PowerPoint automatically reduce<br />

or increase the size of the slides to fit the paper when you print them.<br />

● Print quality Click this option if you want the highest quality printed output.<br />

● Print comments and ink markup Click this option if electronic or handwritten<br />

notes are attached to the presentation and you want to review them along with<br />

the slides.<br />

● Collate multiple copies If you’re printing multiple copies of a presentation, specify<br />

whether complete copies should be printed one at a time.<br />

● Color range Specify whether the presentation should be printed in color (color<br />

on a color printer and grayscale on a monochrome printer), grayscale (on either a<br />

color or a monochrome printer), or pure black and white (no gray on either a color<br />

or a monochrome printer).<br />

● Edit the header or footer Click this option to display the Header And Footer<br />

dialog box.<br />

In this exercise, you’ll preview a presentation in grayscale, select a printer, and print<br />

a selection of slides.<br />

SET UP You need the ServiceOrientationB_start presentation located in your Chapter17<br />

practice file folder to complete this exercise. Open the ServiceOrientationB_start<br />

presentation, and save it as ServiceOrientationB. Then follow the <strong>step</strong>s.<br />

1. Click the File tab to display the Backstage view, and then click Print.<br />

The right side of the Print page displays the first slide as it will print with the current<br />

settings.<br />

2. Under Settings, click Color, and then click Grayscale.<br />

The preview shows the slide in black, white, and shades of gray.<br />

3. Click the Next Page button to move through the slides, until slide 12 is displayed.
