SOLO TRAVELS:
BEST VACATIONS
FOR REFLECTION
As the year comes to an end, both people and organisations wrap
up their businesses and reflect over actions made, things bought
and relationships forged. But, what begins must come to an end.
So, make some time just for yourself and go on a trip or a short
excursion, to the neighbouring state perhaps? And wind down, reflect
on the year and make plans or don’t make plans for the year ahead!
QUEPOS, COSTA RICA
Everybody understands that a week
at a spa is good for body and soul, an
ideal sojourn for reflection and taking
care of yourself. So, forget finding the
right spa and instead book your
holiday to Quepos, Costa Rica! An
area that was once dependent on
banana plantations which used to line
the surrounding area, today, tourism
has deemed itself the major economic
factor, contributing to just about
everything in the area. And one of the
main attractions here? Marlin fishing
between the months of December
and April. The country is also known
for its amiable hospitality, coffee
farms, volcanoes and hot springs that
are perfect for exploring solo. Quepos
is also approximately 7 kilometres
from the Manuel Antonio National
Park which allows you to get up close
and personal with capuchin monkeys
and hundreds of bird species or
sunbathe at one of the reserve’s four
natural beaches.
LAKE DISTRICT,
ENGLAND
Visiting the Lake District is one of the
most popular breaks for people across
the UK and the rest of the world. The
Lake District National Park has a wide
range of activities and attractions, as
well as the natural beauty of the entire
area. You can choose to walk, cycle or
splash around since the place houses
12 of the largest lakes in England apart
from parts of Hadrian’s Wall, which is
the Romans’ most significant monument
in Britain. Book a tour that will allow you
to soak into some of Cumbria’s prettiest
countryside, the remote landscape close
to the Scottish Borders. You then journey
to the 129-kilometre long Wall conceived
by the Emperor Hadrian in 122AD and
now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
