TRAVELLING AND WHAT HAS
GLOBETROTTING TAUGHT YOU?
As much as you discover more about the people and its culture,
it is just as much about self-discovery as well. You'll do things
you never thought you would. You'll find yourself in a
predicament with only your smarts to guide you. Usually, you'll
end up surprising yourself.
Chased by dogs in a foreigner's backyard, being pecked,
bitten and crapped on by a plethora of animals, taking public
transport in a country where you can't understand the signs,
being stalked by a group of drunk African Americans
....man, the stories I will tell my grandkids will be
amazing. The adventure will be life's greatest teacher
and the discovery of self, fulfilling and rewarding.
But still, best advice? ALWAYS pack extra underwear
and socks. Always.

Toothbrush, mouthwash, Leatherman (a production personnel's
best friend), universal charger and power adapter, power bank,
tablet or PC, camera and credit card. And underwear. I cannot
say this enough!

I travel alone and I remember
the days without the KLIA
Express train. Still the best way
to get about, if you travel light
and travel often. Those buggies
in klia2 are AWESOME! My kids love it and it saves mummy
and abah (daddy) quite a bit of trouble.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY HOSTING?
I've always believed food is an awesome way to explore a
culture. From the spices to the way something is prepared,
to the way something tastes... there are many nuances that
one can identify with a certain culture. To be given a chance
to host the No 1 Food Show in Malaysia? Gila ke apa (are you
crazy), where do I sign? It's been three years now (with JJCM)
and while I've travelled the world on many different
assignments, nothing beats going places and tickling the
palette at the same time! I am also the host of 'Jom Ke
Panggung', a 30-minute magazine movie
