Malaysia Airports celebrates National Sports Day<br />
<strong>2016</strong> with employees and public<br />
Malaysia celebrates National Sports Day on the second<br />
Saturday in the month of October. This time around, the<br />
second edition of the event, an initiative by the Youth<br />
and Sports Ministry was celebrated in full spirit at the KL<br />
International Airport (KLIA) by Malaysia Airports.<br />
Clad in full sportswear, more than 700 participants<br />
including the public and employees of Malaysia Airports<br />
took part in the three-hour event filled with many exciting<br />
activities like KLIA Aerobics & Zumba party, Kayuhan KLIA,<br />
‘AIRmazing Race’ and KLIA Street Soccer Challenge.<br />
Malaysia Airports' Senior General Manager, Zainol<br />
Mohd Isa said, "Such a programme brings more than<br />
joy to us. Beyond the obvious health benefits, sports<br />
teach us much about life. It teaches us about teamwork,<br />
getting along with others and how to work together to<br />
achieve a common goal. On behalf of Malaysia Airports,<br />
I congratulate YB Khairy Jamaludin and the Ministry of<br />
Youth & Sports for making this a national event."<br />
The Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin also<br />
made a special appearance at the event and participated<br />
in the KLIA Aerobics & Zumba party.<br />

Malaysia Airports believes in the importance of<br />
promoting a healthy lifestyle for its employees. As such,<br />
the company organises regular sports activities and<br />
events, which includes its monthly aerobic sessions<br />
for employees and passengers at KLIA and klia2<br />
terminals, inter and intra department football<br />
tournaments and other indoor and outdoor<br />
sports activities. These activities not only<br />
bring joy and enthusiasm, but also promotes<br />
healthy competition as well as strengthens the<br />
relationship amongst its employees.<br />
