WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN THE KLIA HEALTH OFFICE
AND MENARA CLINIC?
The KLIA Health Office does not only handle communicable
diseases. We are in charge of overseeing the hygiene of toilets
and eateries located at the airports and this includes monitoring
breeding grounds for mosquitoes and rats or flies. The Health
Office is also part of the disaster management system which
assembles a team in the event of an air disaster at the airport.
Meanwhile, Menara Clinic handles non-communicable diseases
(NCD) and simple illnesses.
WHAT ARE THE FACILITIES MADE
AVAILABLE AT THE TERMINALS?
There is a total of 176 staff which include seven doctors.
One doctor is positioned at the Subang Airport while the
rest alternate between KLIA and klia2. Apart from the beds,
thermal scanners and a quarantine centre, there is also a
Communicable disease control unit, vector unit, food safety
and quality unit and an air disaster unit. Services offered by the
KLIA Health Office are around the clock as there are doctors,
paramedics and health inspectors on-call every day to handle
medical and health related matters.

We leave no stones unturned. The environment of all airports
are to be in best conditions at all time and this includes
inspecting cleanliness levels of where the eateries are located,
maintaining a clean and smoke-free air quality at all times and
ensuring passengers only smoke at designated smoking areas
by enforcing the requirements under the control of Tobacco
Product Regulations 2004, monitoring of drinking water quality
by regular water sampling for lab analysis and keeping tabs
of passengers during the incubation period to avoid any
possibilities of an outbreak.
