Remember these things.
Love can give you joy, but it isn’t the only thing that will.
If you let yourself, you will find joy in an abundance of other
things and people. Keep your spirits high. You don’t need a significant
other in order to give yourself permission to be happy.
Remember these things.
It’s okay, other people feel this way, too. So just because
you aren’t “with” someone doesn’t mean you’re not with someone.
Many, many people are checking their watches,
crossing days off calendars, nervously asking themselves,
“Isn’t it about time that I found someone?”
Remember these things.
Keep clear eyes while you look. If you see something
as what it is not, I promise you that the permanent complications
won’t be worth the temporary fix. If there’s something
you’re unsure of, don’t try hard to force feelings.
They will come… as you might know all too well, they will come.
Remember these things.
While you wait for this, don’t wait for other things.
While you have your heart all to yourself, use it to pursue
your passion and serve others. There is so much you can get done
for yourself that doesn’t require a joint effort.
A relationship is not a part of your life right now,
so these other things should be at the forefront.
We want love, but that’s not all life is about.
Remember these things.
And, finally, be honest. Be honest with yourself,
and let yourself know what you need. Be honest with your friends,
because they can be your support and source of advice.
And, be honest with anyone you find yourself potentially interested in.
Because a strong relationship is built on truth.
And, because you can think for yourself.
And, because you - and they - deserve it.
