Concert Band<br />
<strong>2017</strong> Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation<br />
The Concert Band participated in the SYF Arts<br />
Presentation for Concert Band on 28 March <strong>2017</strong><br />
and achieved the Certificate of Accomplishment!<br />
Members spent countless hours working<br />
together with committed conductor and section<br />
tutors to up their performance standard. This<br />
award is indeed an achievement attained<br />
through determination and sacrifice of all our<br />
band members.<br />
<strong>2017</strong> Chinese New Year Celebration Concert<br />
The Concert Band had the privilege to perform<br />
for the school’s Chinese New Year Celebration<br />
Concert for the first time in years! Our members<br />
took time to practice several Chinese New<br />
Year songs to usher in festivities for the New<br />
Year. Even our members were surprised and<br />
motivated when they were able to deliver a<br />
joyous and beautiful performance of traditional<br />
Chinese music using Concert Band instruments.<br />
<strong>2017</strong> School Speech Day Parade<br />
During the busy months of March and April,<br />
the concert band trained hard with the school’s<br />
Speech Day Parade contingent comprising of<br />
members from the various uniform groups<br />
and put up a spectacular parade display at the<br />
school’s Speech Day held on 13 April <strong>2017</strong>.<br />
