Scouts<br />
The <strong>Mayflower</strong> Scout Troop has kept its word! We promised to scale greater heights and we have. After months of hard<br />
work, dedicated participation in events and almost continuous testing, our Scouts have garnered the Gold award yet<br />
again! This has led to the troop being awarded the prestigious Frank Cooper Sands Honours Pennant award!<br />
We are extremely proud and happy with this achievement and would like to wholeheartedly thank all stakeholders –<br />
parents, Rover scouts, scouts, teachers and school leaders for their unstinting support all the while.<br />
Another noteworthy mention is Foo Yang De and Chia Kang Xu receiving the Istana Hospitality Award for their services<br />
at 4 Istana events this year. Assistant Chief Commissioner (South) Antong Sharuddin presented the award to them at<br />
the Istana grounds in July.<br />
We would also like to congratulate Chia kang Xu, Foo Yang De, Si Thu Soe, Tan Han Sheng and Yee Jun Hyeok Bryan for<br />
achieving the Chief Commissioner’s Award. The Chief Commissioner’s Award is the highest award in Scouts can attain<br />
in recognition of their outstanding performance, dedication and service.<br />
Not being ones to rest on their laurels, our scouts are continuing to focus their attention on other areas of certification<br />
such as the National Patrol Camp and the attainment of various other proficiency badges. We will continue to Be<br />
Prepared for the challenges that lie ahead!<br />
