When you feel depressed, do not alienate<br />

your friends. By surrounding yourself with<br />

people that love and care about you will<br />

help you to feel less depressed, even if it’s<br />

just for the time that you are around them.<br />

You won’t be as depressed if you’re going<br />

out more.<br />

SET REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS<br />

Stay realistic about depression<br />

pain. Check to make sure your ideas<br />

about what you are capable of are realistic.<br />

If they are excessive, adjust them.<br />

By expecting too much, you set yourself<br />

up for disappointment, which contributes<br />

to more depression.<br />

DON’T SKIP MEALS<br />

If you are depressed, you should<br />

make sure you are eating three good meals<br />

a day. A loss of appetite can be a symptom<br />

of depression, but eating less or none can<br />

further depression and energy loss. You<br />

simply cannot function normally when you<br />

don’t have sufficient calories, and considering<br />

the battle you face with depression,<br />

you need all the help you can get. Your<br />

body gets it’s energy when you eat.<br />
