Forum’s Global Competitiveness Index 2019 edition.<br />

• In sub-Saharan <strong>Africa</strong>, <strong>South</strong> <strong>Africa</strong> ranks 4 th out of 48 countries <strong>in</strong> the World Bank’s Do<strong>in</strong>g Bus<strong>in</strong>ess 2019<br />

report (after Mauritius, Rwanda and Kenya).<br />

• <strong>The</strong> cost of do<strong>in</strong>g bus<strong>in</strong>ess <strong>in</strong> <strong>South</strong> <strong>Africa</strong> is a significant “pull factor”, underp<strong>in</strong>ned by factors such as:<br />
