• Capital <strong>in</strong>vestment <strong>in</strong> <strong>South</strong> <strong>Africa</strong>’s m<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g sector is<br />

concentrated <strong>in</strong> brownfield project development.<br />

• Several private equity and hedge funds have been<br />

attracted to the country’s m<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g assets s<strong>in</strong>ce the<br />

commodity price slump of 2016.<br />
