We cre<strong>at</strong>ed an inito.ora file for instance berlin. In our case, we copied<br />

the initoslo.ora file to initberlin.ora file and changed these entries:<br />

We started the new instance berlin:<br />

We ensured connectivity to the new instance:<br />

- We edited $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora and add an entry<br />

for berlin.<br />

- We edited $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora and add an entry<br />

for berlin.<br />

- We reloaded the SQL*Net listener by the command lsnrctl reload.<br />
