Deirdre Hewgill is a Project Leader with the IBM Intern<strong>at</strong>ional Technical<br />
Support Organiz<strong>at</strong>ion, San Jose Center, specializing in Tivoli Storage<br />
Manager. Before joining the ITSO this year, Deirdre provided EMEA level 2<br />
technical support for Tivoli Storage Manager and rel<strong>at</strong>ed products. For the<br />
last 13 years, she has worked for IBM assisting Enterprise customers,<br />
primarily in support, but also in service roles.<br />
Art Balingit is a DBA Technical Specialist with IBM, New Zealand, where he<br />
installs and supports <strong>Oracle</strong> and DB2 d<strong>at</strong>abases. He has 17 years of IT<br />
experience using a wide range of mainframe and client/server pl<strong>at</strong>forms.<br />
His experience includes 4 years of d<strong>at</strong>abase design, implement<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />
administr<strong>at</strong>ion, and support of <strong>Oracle</strong> and DB2 d<strong>at</strong>abases on UNIX systems<br />
and Windows NT. He holds a degree in Psychology from the Ateneo de<br />
Manila University (Philippines). His areas of expertise include transaction<br />
processing systems, analysis and design, and programming.<br />
Martin Bruegger is an Advisory IT Specialist in Switzerland where he is<br />
working in the outsourcing department. He has more than 10 years of<br />
experience as a DBA in a production environment. He has worked <strong>at</strong> IBM for<br />
11 years. His areas of expertise include install<strong>at</strong>ion and support of <strong>Oracle</strong><br />
d<strong>at</strong>abases on UNIX and S/390 servers.<br />
Wolfgang Postl is a I/T Specialist with IBM Austria, where he installs and<br />
supports RS/6000 and SP systems. He has 6 years of experience with DB2<br />
and the RS/6000 products line. Wolfgang holds a degree in M<strong>at</strong>hem<strong>at</strong>ics from<br />
the University of Graz (Austria). His areas of expertise include system<br />
management, storage servers, and rel<strong>at</strong>ional d<strong>at</strong>abases.<br />
James Thompson is a Tivoli Storage Manager Level 2 Technical Support<br />
Engineer with IBM in Tucson, Arizona. He has 7 years of IT experience<br />
across multiple pl<strong>at</strong>forms and applic<strong>at</strong>ions. He gradu<strong>at</strong>ed Cum Laude with a<br />
degree in Computer Science from Utah St<strong>at</strong>e University. He is currently a<br />
Technical Support Team Lead for the TSM Tivoli D<strong>at</strong>a Protection and API<br />
products. His areas of expertise include Tivoli Storage Manager, Windows,<br />
Novell, AIX, DB2, <strong>Oracle</strong>, and Storage Area Networks.<br />
