G.2.2 How to use the Web m<strong>at</strong>erial<br />

The m<strong>at</strong>erial consists of a subdirectory (folder). Copy the contents of the Web<br />

m<strong>at</strong>erial from this folder.<br />

Tar zip form<strong>at</strong>: DBA_rman.tar.Z<br />

Run:<br />

uncompress DBA_rman.tar.Z<br />

tar -xvf DBA_rman.tar<br />

This will cre<strong>at</strong>e a directory /tmp/DBA_rman with eight files in it. To install the<br />

files, simply invoke:<br />

/tmp/DBA_rman/DBA_first_setup<br />

The ksh program will cre<strong>at</strong>e /usr/local/oracle ... directories and load the ksh<br />

and configur<strong>at</strong>ion files.<br />
