Installation completed 9.4 Configuring the TDP for Oracle client options file After installing TDP for Oracle for Windows, you need to configure the client options file (dsm.opt). There is an icon in the Tivoli Storage Manager program folder that opens the dsm.opt file using notepad.exe. You can use whatever text editor you wish. We specified values for: COMMMETHOD TCPSERVERADDRESS TCPPORT NODENAME PASSWORDACCESS Our TSM server is on an RS/6000 AIX machine with a TCP/IP address of 193.1.1.11 and is listening for client connections on port 1500. Therefore, we chose TCPIP as our communication method, 193.1.1.11 as our TCP server address, and 1500 as our TCP port.
