We used the following techniques to valid<strong>at</strong>e the TDP for <strong>Oracle</strong> setup:<br />

12.3.4.1 Displaying the TSM TDP environment with tdpoconf<br />

Tivoli D<strong>at</strong>a Protection for <strong>Oracle</strong> includes a new configur<strong>at</strong>ion utility th<strong>at</strong><br />

displays library, session, and server inform<strong>at</strong>ion. This tdpoconf utility<br />

emul<strong>at</strong>es TDP for <strong>Oracle</strong>'s behavior and displays the values being used to<br />

identify setup problems.<br />

Following is an example, tdpoconf showenv, to display the actual TSM TDP<br />

environment:<br />

The RMAN crosscheck command reads the recovery c<strong>at</strong>alog and<br />

crosschecks the individual backup pieces in the media manager.<br />
