C.2.2 Edit the TDP for <strong>Oracle</strong> options file<br />

As mentioned in C.1.1, “TDPO.OPT file” on page 209, there is a new file<br />

which contains all TDP rel<strong>at</strong>ed configur<strong>at</strong>ion inform<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />

There are several new options, and some of the TDP version 2.1.10 options<br />

have been renamed. See the TDP Install<strong>at</strong>ion and Users Guide for a detailed<br />

description of the new options.<br />

For our tests; we placed the file tdpo.opt in the default install<strong>at</strong>ion p<strong>at</strong>h. This<br />

way, we were able to invoke RMAN without a PARMs ‘ENV...’ string in the<br />

alloc<strong>at</strong>e channel command:<br />

If you are using a TDP for <strong>Oracle</strong> options file th<strong>at</strong> is not the default name, you<br />

must specify the options file name in the PARMS 'ENV=()'; section of the<br />

channel alloc<strong>at</strong>ion of RMAN:<br />
