BAM Woningbouw.
concept for use in renovation projects: the ‘W&R
renovation’ concept enables BAM Woningbouw to
complete energy-efficient, comfortable housing in only
seven days with minimum inconvenience for the
occupants.
BAM Woningbouw has its own engineering & consulting
expertise centre which has expert knowledge in a wide
range of areas, including advice on quality, lean
construction and Building Information Modeling.
BAM Woningbouw completed various high-profile
projects in 2011, including the Kotmanpark sustainable
low-energy ‘passive home’ apartment complex in
Enschede (44 apartments); the first sustainable W&R
‘Green Homes’ in ’s-Gravenzande; the large-scale
sustainable renovation of 153 passive homes in Kerkrade
based on the W&R renovation concept; the major project
to build 175 new single-family homes in Hoorn and Park
Blankenborch in Vianen (470 homes); a new homeless
shelter for the Kessler Foundation in The Hague; the
home development projects carried out in collaboration
with private individuals in locations such as
Valkenswaard (‘De Treksteen’ project); and the new build
for the Prinsenstichting foundation in Purmerend
(construction of new buildings for customers and
employees of this foundation for people with special
needs).
> Bouwbedrijf Pennings will be reporting to BAM
Woningbouw with effect from 2011. Rosmalen-based
Pennings continues to work on residential and nonresidential
construction projects at all stages in the
construction supply chain. Pennings also has a
renovation division that completes scheduled large-scale
maintenance work on more than a thousand occupied
homes every year. The year under review saw Pennings
build care complexes in Haaren, Ammerzoden and
Gennep as well as housing in Breda, Utrecht, Vught,
Werkendam and Zaltbommel. Pennings also has work in
progress on an office building in ’s-Hertogenbosch and
Anafora park restaurant, Leidsche Rijn,
Utrecht, the Netherlands.

the Molenwijk shopping centre in Amsterdam. Pennings
is carrying out both the development and the building
work for the large-scale renovation and expansion of
Meubelplein Ekkersrijt shopping complex in Son en
Breugel (45,000 m2 ). The company also performed home
renovations at countless locations in the provinces of
Utrecht and Noord-Brabant.
Amersfoort-based > Heilijgers has all of the central
Netherlands as its main service area for project
development, construction, technical management and
maintenance work. The company has approximately 170
employees. In 2011 Heilijgers was awarded the Keurmerk
Klantgericht Bouwen (quality hallmark for customeroriented
construction) for the sixth consecutive year.
Heilijgers and the Lopik Municipal Authority reached
agreement in 2011 regarding the development of the
Benschop-Oost project which consists of approximately
one hundred homes in various price categories.
Heilijgers is part of the consortium building a connecting
bridge between a residential care centre and a new
high-rise apartment block in Hilversum and is also a
partner in the consortium building a shopping centre and
housing on Muntplein square in Nieuwegein for AM Real
Estate Development. The redevelopment of the
Beukenrode Estate in Doorn, as well as 37 apartments in
Amersfoort, the police station in Doorn and 73 houses
and apartments in the ’t Hof development project in
Zeist are also among Heilijgers’ current contracts.
2011 saw Heilijgers start work on various residential
construction projects as well as the large-scale
renovation of the sustainable solar project in Nieuwland
(Amersfoort) and the renovation and redesignation of
Thermion – a former Philips factory – in Lent.
The following projects were delivered during the year
under review: Brede School in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel,
apartment buildings in Amersfoort (Zicht op Amersfoort,
Centro Vido and Amor Forte 2), the renovation of the
Paasloo office villa and a residential villa (both in
Amersfoort) and the Leidsche Rijn tea house (Utrecht).
