Ce village situé à 20 minutes de Fénérive-Est est réputé pour ses
plantations de girofle. Les 900 villageois qui y habitent vivent de cette
culture et d’une distillerie artisanale. Pressée de manière traditionnelle,
l’huile a une saveur très particulière et excellente. Acceptez les propositions
des villageois qui vous emmèneront avec plaisir visiter les plantations et la
distillerie et pour les plus jeunes, la fabrication de vannerie.
This village located a 20 minute drive from Fénérive-Est is reputed for its
clove plantations. The 900 villagers who live there make their living thanks
to the crop and a small-scale distillery. Ground and pressed following
traditional methods, the oil produced has a specific excellent flavour. Accept
any invitation from the villagers offering to take you to visit the plantations
and the distillery, or the basket-making workshop.

MANANARA
Renommée pour sa beauté préservée et sauvage,
Mananara offre à chaque visiteur une expérience
immersive en pleine nature. Le Parc National de Mananara
Nord abrite une flore luxuriante comptant plus de 170
espèces endémiques, ainsi qu'une faune unique. C’est
également un parc marin de 1000ha avec 114 espèces de
flores marines, des espèces de poisson et de mollusques.
La richesse de Mananara Nord s'exprime également
à travers ses plantations de fruits tropicaux. Comme
dans toute la région est de Madagascar, les conditions
sont propices à la culture de la vanille, du girofle et de
la canne à sucre. Suite à la récente réforme, elle forme
avec Maroantsetra la nouvelle région appelée Région
d’Ambatosoa.

The National Park of Mananara Nord has lush
flora with over 170 endemic species, as well as
unique fauna. It is also a marine park of 1,000ha,
sheltering 114 species of marine flora, including
fish and molluscs.
The wealth of Mananara Nord also resides in
its plantations of tropical fruits. As in the east of
Madagascar in general, conditions in the region are
perfect for growing vanilla, cloves and sugar-cane.
Following recent reforms, with Maroantsetra it is
now the new region of Ambatosoa.
