Les récifs coralliens
de Saint Augustin
À trente-sept kilomètre au sud de Tuléar, la
baie de Saint-Augustin bénéficie d’une position
géostratégique hors du commun à l’embouchure
de la rivière Onilahy. Cette situation a toujours plu
aux amoureux de la mer. Saint-Augustin, également
appelée Anatsoano, possède de magnifiques
fonds marins de 1 000 mètres de profondeur. Elle
est également à proximité immédiate des récifs
coralliens, face à Sarodrano au nord et à Anakao au
sud. Au XVII ème siècle, la baie faisait office d’escale
pour les navires de commerce européens lors des
croisades sur la route des Indes.
The coral reefs of Saint Augustin
Thirty seven kilometres to the south of Tuléar, the bay of
Saint-Augustin enjoys a privileged geostrategic position,
at the mouth of the Onilahy River. Its location has always
made it a favourite of sea lovers. Saint-Augustin, also
referred to as Anatsoano, has a stunning seabed, going
down to 1000m in depth. It also lies very close to a
series of coral reefs, facing Sarodrano to the north and
Anakao to the south. In the 17th century, the bay was a
stopping-point for European ships sailing back and forth
along the East India trade route.

Everything under
the sun of Antsanitia
Antsanitia or ‘the song of the one who is in love’ what
a wonderful name for a beach. Located at Majunga in
the north-west of Madagascar, Antsanitia has all the
characteristics of an exceptionally beautiful site: a long
sandy beach, warm crystal-clear waters, the Morira
River bordering the mangrove, the sails of fishing boats
fluttering gently in the breeze, a garden of Eden with a
thousand fragrant plants, lemurs hopping from branch
to branch and languorous whales you can spot out at sea.
