DESTINATIONS PARC D’Aventure Avec ses formations rocheuses impressionnantes, ses fascinantes grottes et sa biodiversité exceptionnelle, Ankarana est un joyau naturel à découvrir. C’est une destination idéale pour les amateurs de nature sauvage et les fans d’aventures. Situé dans le nord de Madagascar, le Parc National de l’Ankarana est célèbre pour ses paysages karstiques spectaculaires dignes d'un conte de fées. Les formations rocheuses de calcaire créent des décors uniques avec des tsingy (aiguilles de calcaire), des gorges profondes et des grottes impressionnantes. Les sentiers des 16 circuits proposés font découvrir ces formations naturelles étonnantes. Découvrez les grottes sculptées par des réseaux d’eau souterraine, la Grotte des Chauve-souris qui abrite des milliers de chauves-souris, la Grotte d’Andrafiabe et la Grotte de l’Ouest qui offrent des formations géologiques extraordinaires, des stalactites et des stalagmites, ainsi que des passages souterrains fascinants. Au total, Ankarana compte 11 grottes dont certaines abritent des sépultures royales. Les lieux de culte sacrés où des offrandes sont déposés, attirent davantage la curiosité. Le parc abrite une grande variété d'espèces animales et végétales endémiques dont les lémuriens, notamment le lémurien couronné et le microcèbe de Mme Berthe mais aussi des chauves-souris, des fosa et des crocodiles. Les ornithologues pourront observer de nombreuses espèces d'oiseaux colorés, tandis que les botanistes seront éblouis par les plantes succulentes et les orchidées qui ornent les paysages. Plus de 300 espèces de plantes y sont recensées. L’exploration du parc à travers ses sentiers offre des vues imprenables sur les tsingy gris et la végétation luxuriante. Adventure PARK With its impressive rocky formations, fascinating caves and exceptional biodiversity, Ankarana is one of nature’s treasures waiting to be discovered, an ideal destination for lovers of unspoiled natural environments and anyone in search of adventure. Located in the north of Madagascar, the National Park of Ankarana is famous for its spectacular karstic landscapes worthy of a fairy tale. The rocky limestone formations have produced unique scenery with the tsingy (limestone peaks or needles), deep gullies and impressive caves. Visitors can discover astonishing natural structures along the paths of the 16 trails proposed. There are caves carved out by the underground water networks, the Grotte des Chauve-souris, a cave sheltering thousands of bats, the Grotte d’Andrafiabe and the Grotte de l’Ouest, extraordinary geological formations with stalactites and stalagmites, as well as fascinating underground passages. Ankarana has a total of 11 caves, some of which shelter royal tombs. The places of worship where people deposit offerings also attract visitors. The park shelters a large variety of endemic fauna and flora including lemurs, notably the crowned lemur and the Mme Berthe’s grey mouse lemur, and also bats, fossa and crocodiles. Ornithologists can observe a large range of colourful birds, while botanists will be delighted by the succulents and orchids. Over 300 species of plants have been listed in the area. Exploring the park along its footpath provides impressive views over the grey tsingy and the lush vegetation.
