la cathédrale végétale
Direction au Nord-Est de Madagascar à Sainte-Marie.
Très connue par ses splendides plages, sa mer de
couleur bleue turquoise, son magnifique sable blanc
et ses jolis cocotiers, la baie d'Ampanihy figure parmi
les lieux les plus insolites à découvrir à Sainte-Marie.
Les plages d'Ampanihy bénéficient de la protection
naturelle de la barrière de corail pour une baignade en
toute sérénité. Dans cette cathédrale végétale, hérons
et aigrettes débusquent crabes et petits poissons. Pas
un bruit, hormis le sourd grondement des vagues qui,
au loin, se brisent sur la barrière de corail.

Head for Ile Saint-Marie in the north-east of Madagascar.
Well known for its splendid beaches, its turquoise
blue water, its extraordinary fine sandy beach with
lofty coconut palms, the bay of Ampanihy is one of the
extraordinary attractions of Sainte-Marie. The beaches
of Ampanihy enjoy the natural protection of a coral
reef, so visitors can swim in safety. In this cathedral of
vegetation, herons and egrets stand waiting to catch
crabs and small fish. There's total silence, with the
exception of the low rumble of the waves breaking
against the coral reef further out.
