Life cycle: A perennial sedge that<br />

can grow as tall as 75 cm. Propagates<br />

ma<strong>in</strong>ly by tubers and produces few<br />

seeds.<br />

Habitat: Grows well <strong>in</strong> moist soils.<br />

<strong>Weed</strong>y nature: Persistent and<br />

difficult to c<strong>on</strong>trol. Enormous amounts<br />

of tubers may be produced. Tubers,<br />

which have dormancy, can survive l<strong>on</strong>g<br />
