VIR means <strong>Vehicle</strong> Inspection Report supplied by an Inspection Station to a motorist at<br />
the conclusion of an inspection that provides information regarding the results of the<br />
inspection.<br />
VLT means <strong>Vehicle</strong> Lookup Table which contains all common vehicles starting with<br />
model year 1973, and all OBD equipped vehicles certified by the EPA of the California<br />
Air Resources Board by model year, make, model name, type (car or truck), number of<br />
cylinders, engine displacement, and transmission type.<br />
VMI means <strong>Vehicle</strong> Maintenance Initiative which is the portion of the Program designed<br />
to support repair technician, assist technicians with difficult to repair vehicles, and<br />
monitor repair performance to ensure that the repair industry is ready to serve motorists’<br />
needs for emissions repairs.<br />
Windshield Sticker means a written instrument or device, which indicates that the<br />
required inspection has been performed. This will be affixed to the inside lower right<br />
corner of the windshield on the passenger side once an inspection has been completed.<br />
Workstation means the complete set of hardware, software, consumables, and<br />
accessories located at the Inspector Station, and used to conduct safety and emissions<br />
tests, including equipment for quality control.<br />
