Equipment:<br />
Registry of Motor <strong>Vehicle</strong>s approved tint meter.<br />
Procedure:<br />
The inspector must walk around the vehicle and inspect the glazing and glass.<br />
Afterward, the inspector will operate the wipers through all speeds, including delay and<br />
operate windshield washer (if equipped).<br />
Items to Inspect:<br />
Glazing, glass, and windshield wiper / washer function.<br />
Critical Viewing Area:<br />
Windshield Critical Viewing Area is the area covered by the sweep of the wiper(s)<br />
exclusive of the outer 2 inches within the perimeter of the wiper(s) sweep, provided by the<br />
vehicle manufacturer.<br />
Inspect For And Reject If:<br />
1. Any original glazing (glass) is not in place or if there are any deficiencies in the<br />
windshield’s critical viewing area.<br />
