Procedure:<br />
Visually check the exhaust system, exhaust manifold(s), exhaust pipe(s), muffler(s),<br />
and tailpipe(s) to see that they are tightly fit and free of leaks. System components shall be<br />
securely fastened with fasteners in place and undamaged. Accelerate the engine to test for<br />
unnecessary noise and the emission of any unreasonable amount of smoke.<br />
Items to Inspect:<br />
Exhaust system components (exhaust manifold, muffler, pipes, exhaust system<br />
fasteners, etc.).<br />
Inspect For And Reject If:<br />
A. Exhaust System Components:<br />
1. The system’s components are not tightly fit, securely fastened with undamaged<br />
fasteners, and free of leaks.<br />
