Registry of Motor <strong>Vehicle</strong> approved brake meter.<br />
The inspector will check operational and functional reliability of the parking brake,<br />
service (foot) brake, hydraulic system, and power brake function as described in the<br />
individual test sections below.<br />
Items to Inspect:<br />
Power brake system, service (foot) brake, parking brake, and hydraulic brake system.<br />
Power Brake System (if applicable):<br />
Procedure:<br />
1. Stop engine, then depress<br />
brake pedal several times to<br />
eliminate all vacuum to the<br />
vacuum / power booster.<br />
2. Depress pedal with a light<br />
foot-force (25 lbs) when the<br />
vehicle is immobile.<br />
