Verifying the Access to the Interactive Interface Routine<br />

The following steps verify the access to the interactive interface routine.<br />

1. Ensure that the <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> queue handler is running.<br />

2. If the <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> interactive interface has been allocated via the<br />

TSO logon procedure or with a TSO startup CLIST, do the following:<br />

� From a terminal that is in TSO READY mode, enter:<br />

ISPSTART PGM(DVGIFII) PARM(E)<br />

The letter you specify as a parameter is the language the panels are<br />

written in. E indicates English.<br />

If the <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> interactive interface has been allocated via the<br />

ISPF LIBDEF statement, call the DVGMXRII CLIST from the ISPF command<br />

line.<br />

<strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> displays the main <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong><br />

selection panel.<br />

<strong>3.</strong> Enter PANELID on the command line. The panel ID shown in the upper left<br />

corner of the screen must be DVGME00E.<br />

4. Request help by either entering HELP or pressing the HELP PF key. The first<br />

<strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> help panel is displayed. It shows the current maintenance<br />

level of <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong>.<br />

5. Return to the main selection panel.<br />

This completes the access verification of the interactive interface.<br />

Verifying the Installation of the OSI Part of <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong><br />

To perform the installation verification test of the OSI part of <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong><br />

<strong>MVS</strong> do the following:<br />

1. Start the <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> queue handler as described in “Starting the<br />

Queue Handler” on page 28.<br />

2. Make sure that OSI/File Services is active.<br />

<strong>3.</strong> Start the <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> OSI server.<br />

Enter from the operator console:<br />

F DVG230QH,S DVG230SI<br />

4. Let the OSI server run for about ten minutes.<br />

5. Stop the <strong>NetView</strong> <strong>FTP</strong> <strong>V2.2.1</strong> <strong>MVS</strong> OSI server.<br />

Enter from the operator console:<br />

F DVG230QH,P DVG230SI<br />

6. Allow three minutes for termination, then check that the DVG230SI address<br />

spaces have terminated.<br />
