itinerario urbano que recorre la historia de tirvia durante y después de la Guerra Civil. El
recorrido muestra algunos de los pocos elementos del antiguo pueblo cercado medieval que
se mantienen en pie y las obras de reconstrucción a partir de 1944 llevadas a cabo por la
Dirección General de regiones Devastadas, organismo destinado a la reconstrucción de los
pueblos destruidos por la guerra. tirvia fue uno de los pueblos “adoptados por el Caudillo 53 ”.
las obras más destacadas fueron la construcción de la iglesia, el ayuntamiento y un grupo
de viviendas.
An urban itinerary to discover the history of tírvia during and after the Civil War. the trail shows
some of the few remnants of the old mediaeval walled town still standing, and the reconstruction
work carried out from 1944 onwards by the General Directorate for Devastated regions, a
department in charge of reconstructing the villages worst hit by the Civil War. tírvia became
one of the villages “adopted by the Caudillo”. the most outstanding works were the construction
of the church, town hall and a group of houses.
