Holdings: documents concerning Galician emigration in the 19 th and 20 th centuries, from
administrative bodies in Spain, including those of the A Coruña Provincial Delegation of the
Catholic Commission for migrations (1957–1970), and in the recipient countries, from Galician
emigrants’ societies, and periodicals published by Galician emigrants, as well as private archives.
Library: monographs and scientific periodicals on migrant movements and exile, as well as
newspapers edited by Galician migrant community
Special collections: an audiovisual collection, particularly about the migration to America

Fondos: a los borradores y manuscritos de las obras del premio nobel de literatura Camilo
josé Cela, tienen que añadirse un epistolario, su biblioteca de trabajo, toda la bibliografía
publicada sobre él, la mayoría de las informaciones y comentarios aparecidos en la prensa
desde los años cuarenta, todas las ediciones y traducciones de su obra, el archivo completo
de la revista papeles de son armadans (1956–1979), así como títulos, reconocimientos,
homenajes, objetos de arte, etc. también incluye las colecciones recibidas por legado del
escritor josé maría sánchez silva y del dibujante Eduardo Correa. El aula de poesía de
posguerra josé García nieto contiene la biblioteca personal del poeta josé García nieto,
una hemeroteca con revistas de poesía posteriores a la Guerra Civil y el epistolario mantenido
por éste con diversas personalidades de la vida política y cultura española (digitalizado).

Holdings: besides the nobel Prize for literature winner Camilo Jose Cela’s drafts and
manuscripts, the Archive houses his letters, library, the entire bibliography published about
him, most press information and comments since the 1940s, all editions and translations of
his works, the complete archive of the Son Armadans Papers (1956–1979), as well as titles,
recognitions, tributes, artifacts, and so on. it also includes collections received thorugh the
bequest of the writer José maria Sanchez Silva and the cartoonist Eduardo Correa. the Jose
Garcia nieto Postwar Poetry room contains the poet Jose García nieto’s personal library, a
post-Civil War poetry magazine library and the correspondence kept with various key figures
of Spanish politics and culture (digitalized).
