Anna Pelka, nacida en Chorzów (Polonia) en 1975. Estudió Historia del Arte en la Universidad<br />

de Varsovia. Doctora por la Ruhr Universität Bochum (Alemania). Entre 2008 y 2010 fue<br />

becaria de investigación postdoctoral en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. En la<br />

actualidad, es investigadora en la Cátedra de Historia Europea de los siglos XIX y XX<br />

de la Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität en Munich. Está especializada en arte, diseño y<br />

arquitectura y sus implicaciones sociopolíticas en los antiguos países del Bloque del<br />

Este y en la España franquista.<br />

Anna Pelka was born in Chorzow (Poland) in 1975. She studied Art History at the university<br />

of Warsaw and has a doctorate from the ruhr university Bochum (Germany). Between 2008<br />

and 2010 she was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Autonomous university of Barcelona.<br />

At present she is a researcher at the Chair of European History of the 19 th and 20 th centuries of<br />

the ludwig maximilians university in munich. Her areas of expertise are art, design and<br />

architecture and their socio-political implications in the former Eastern Bloc countries and<br />

in Franco era Spain.
