Fondos: fondos de tipología variada, desde el siglo iX hasta la actualidad. se organizan en
archivo medieval y moderno, que incluye documentación generada por el municipio y los
ciudadanos de Barcelona o relacionada con ellos, entre los que se comprenden documentos
de propaganda política (siglos XiX–XX) y del instituto de Cultura y Biblioteca popular de
la mujer (1909–1939); Gráficos, que incluye mapas, planos, dibujos, carteles, etc.; y Fondos
orales, con testimonios orales sobre temas diversos como la Guerra Civil (colección
roland Fraser) y la mujer.
Biblioteca: fondos bibliográficos, principalmente sobre la ciudad de Barcelona. Existe
también una hemeroteca, que contiene los periódicos y revistas editados en la ciudad
desde el siglo XVii a la actualidad, entre los que destaca la colección de prensa clandestina y
del exilio (1939–1977).

Holdings: collections on various topics from the 9 th century to the present day, allocated in
medieval and modern Archive, with documentation produced by the municipality of Barcelona
and its citizens or relating to them, including propaganda documents (19 th –20 th centuries) and
those of the institute of Culture and Women’s Popular library (1909–1939); the Graphics section,
which includes maps, plans, drawings, posters, etc.; and the oral Sources section, with oral
accounts on different topics such as the Civil War (the roland Fraser collection) or women.
Library: bibliographic collections, mainly concerning the city of Barcelona. there is also a
newspaper library, with newspapers and magazines published in the city from the 17 th century
to the present day, among which it is important to mention materials produced by the
underground press and by the press in exile (1939–1977).
