Holdings: the Archive, held in different locations, contains records produced by the land<br />
Army jurisdiction about courts-martial and purges in the following territories: Catalonia, based<br />
in Barcelona (1939–1988); Aragon, based in zaragoza (1923–1981; it includes most of those<br />
corresponding to the province of Guadalajara); navarre, based in Pamplona (1902–1976); and<br />
the Balearic islands, based in Palma de majorca (1936–1987).<br />
Access: on authorization from the President Judge Advocate of the third territorial military<br />

Fondos: los fondos sobre las causas y los procedimientos históricos, incluidos los de la<br />
etapa de la Guerra Civil y posguerra de la región militar noroeste, excepto las provincias<br />
de ávila, segovia, Guadalajara y parte de los correspondientes a la provincia de soria, se<br />
concentran físicamente en dos archivos en la ciudad de Ferrol: el archivo intermedio<br />
militar noroeste, sobre jurisdicción militar del ejército de tierra; y en el archivo naval,<br />
sobre la jurisdicción militar de marina.<br />

Holdings: records relating to historical cases and proceedings, including those of the Civil<br />
War and postwar periods in the northwest military region, with the exception of the provinces<br />
of Avila, Segovia, Guadalajara and part of those corresponding to the province of Soria, are<br />
physically kept in two archives in the town of Ferrol: the northwest intermediate military<br />
Archive, on the military jurisdiction of the land Army; and the naval Archive, on the military<br />
jurisdiction of the navy.<br />
